Quality of Life
Casting Mode

  • Users can now toggle pings and chat on/off in this mode.

Pre-Game Chat

  • Lobby chat is now persistent when navigating across screens in the client.

In-Game Chat

  • Chat scrolling has been enabled.
  • Chat no longer scales and should be readable at all resolutions and client modes.
  • Chat now fits properly across all game modes (Spectator vs. Non-spectator, Swapped Mini-map vs. Non-swapped Mini-map, etc.)
  • Certain actions will now cause left clicks to pass through the Chat Window so that the input is not blocked when attempting in-game actions.
  • When you hit your chat button (Default: “Enter”), chat will enter a “Focused” state where it becomes more visible.
  • If chat is in the “Focused” state, scrolling will keep it in the “Focused” state and vice versa.
  • You can now click on “All”, “Team” and “Player Names” to allow whispers and channel changes in-game.

Ashabel

  • Wrath of Heaven (R)
    • The variable travel time on this ability has been removed. This ability will now always land 1.5 seconds after Ashabel launches the projectile, down from between 1.5 seconds and 2.5 seconds.

Mikella

  • Mikella now has a passive: Compound Interest (Passive)
    • Mikella’s attacks and abilities apply marks of Compound Interest for 2 seconds. The fourth consecutive attack or ability against the same target will consume the marks to deal between 20-100 (+30% Power), based on level.

Salous

  • Salous now has a passive: Inner Calm, Outer Storm (Passive)
    • Salous’s Movement Speed is increased by between 8% and 20% based on the number of enemy Shapers he has damaged with a basic attack or ability in the last 5 seconds.
  • Judgment (Q)
    • The initial hit base damage of this ability has been reduced to 30/45/60/75/90, down from 35/50/65/80/95.
    • The secondary activation damage of this ability has been reduced to 70/85/100/115/130, down from 75/90/105/120/135.
  • Spirit Seals (W)
    • This ability is now additionally tagged as “Damage Over Time” in addition to “Area of Effect”.
  • Penance (E)
    • The base damage of this ability has been reduced to 50/85/120/155/190, down from 70/110/150/190/230.

Vex

  • Skewer (Q)
    • This ability will now cast slightly faster to be more in line with the animation.

Viyana

  • Needle (Q)
    • The power ratio of this ability has been increased to 0.6, up from 0.5.
  • Pure Blood (W)
    • Consecutive blood orbs will now deal 60% damage, up from 35%.
  • Exsanguinate (R)
    • The range of this ability has been increased to 650, up from 575.

  • Curse of Weakness (W)
    • The initial base damage of this ability has been reduced to 30/45/60/75/90, down from 30/55/80/105/130.
  • Devour (E)

Items that have scaling values in their unique passives will now take into account their own stats when they pre-compute the value when viewed in the item store before purchasing.
Ambition

  • The price of this item has been increased to 2700, up from 2555.
  • The Power granted by this item has been reduced to 25, down from 30.
  • The Armor granted by this item has been reduced to 25, down from 30.

Consumption

  • The Power granted by this item has been increased to 35, up from 30.

Desire

  • The Stormcall passive now deals 5% of the target’s maximum health instead of 6% of their current health.

  • The Rising Hunger passive now grants 7 Power per stack, up from 6.

Wisdom

  • Updated the tool-tip of this item to calculate and display the amount of Power the passive will provide you.

First Time Player Practice Mode

  • The bots in this mode have been adjusted to be less aggressive.

Practice Mode

  • Fixed a bug which would cause Raina Bot to frequently steal last hits from allied Gladiators.

    • Fixed a bug which would cause some on hit effects to affect Mina while she was riding another Shaper rather than applying to the host.

    • Fixed a bug where this ability could be used while rooted.

Fixed a bug which would allow area of effect crowd control abilities to apply to a target that Blinked in the same frame that the crowd control triggered. Fixed a bug where blinking away from certain abilities as they were being cast would result in the ability resolving and the target still being hit by them at their blink location. Fixed a bug which prevented proper detection of Dawngate for discrete GPU use on systems with switchable graphics. Fixed a bug which caused a new player’s Avatar icon to appear blank. Fixed a bug which caused text in the “Options” screen to display improperly when first opened. Fixed a bug which allowed the host of a game to change region selection while in a group lobby. Fixed a bug which would sometimes add players to the matchmaking queue after a custom game was aborted in Shaper Select.   • Celerity Shell (Q)
    • The cooldown of this ability has been increased to 11/10/9/8/7, up from 10/9/8/7/6.
    • The base damage of this ability has been reduced to 55/100/145/190/235, down from 65/110/155/200/245.

Items Assimilation

  • The base heal amount of this item’s Undying Storm passive has been increased to 100, up from 75.

Duress

  • The price of this item has been increased to 2700, up from 2630.
  • Haste has been reduced to 40, down from 45.
  • The cooldown reduction component of the Netherbind passive will now only trigger against the primary target so that Fate will no longer reduce its cooldown.
  • The cooldown of the Netherbind passive has been increased to 15, up from 10.
  • The Netherbind passive now has diminishing returns when applied in rapid succession. Attempting to root a target with Netherbind that has been affected by a previous Netherbind within the last 5 seconds will result in the root duration being reduced to 50% of the previous root’s duration.

Faith

  • The shield charge interval has been reduced to 3 seconds, down from 4 seconds.

Grace

  • The duration of the movement speed granted by the Zephyr Aura passive has been increased to 3 seconds, up from 2 seconds.
  • Added a particle effect upon activating the Zephyr Aura passive.

Freia

  • Fixed a bug which was causing the buff indicator circles to disappear off Freia.

Sakari

  • Iceberg (W)
    • Fixed a bug where Shapers would occasionally get incorrectly force-moved by an Iceberg when they should have been unaffected by its placement.

Items
Assimilation

  • Fixed a bug where the Undying Storm passive effect of this item would fail to trigger if the target died past a certain distance away from you.

Brilliance

  • Fixed a bug affecting Corruption, Furor, Grace, Influence and Zeal where the Brilliance passive would provide the incorrect amount of Spellbook cooldown reduction if you had multiple instances of the passive and you sold one of these items.

Grace

  • Fixed a bug where the Zephyr Aura passive effect of this item would fail to trigger if the target died past a certain distance away from you.

General
Silence

  • Fixed a bug where this status effect could interrupt a basic attack if applied before the projectile was launched.

Quality of Life[edit | edit source]

Matchmaking

  • Clients will now automatically re-queue for matchmaking (at the same priority that they had when the game lobby was created) when another player leaves the game during Shaper Select.
  • Matchmaking groups will remain together after the game is complete, allowing players to quickly queue again with the same group.

Shaper Select

  • Announcer Packs are now ordered alphabetically.

Forward Renderer

  • Rendering has been improved for lower end machines.
  • Users using lower settings should see significant improvement in their FPS.

  • Shore's Calling (R)
    • Fixed a bug where this ability would sometimes heal Cerulean for less than the intended amount against targets between 70% to 100% Health.

Desecrator

    • Fixed a bug where Desecrator and Forgefire Desecrator had a low chance of not displaying this ability’s animation.

Dibs

    • Fixed a bug where reactivating this ability within a short window would occasionally fly Dibs to the center of the map.

Kahgen

    • Fixed a bug where enemies on the outer edge of the Quicksand zone were being slowed for less than the intended amount.

    • Fixed a bug where the first auto attack executed after this ability connected would always be a guaranteed hit, regardless of the target’s distance.

    • The base damage of this ability has been reduced to 60/100/140/180/220, down from 60/105/150/195/240.

    • Fixed a bug that was causing the damage reduction portion of this ability to become stuck on a Shaper indefinitely.

    • Fixed a bug where Moya was gaining more attack speed than intended under most circumstances.

    • The secondary hit damage on this ability has been reduced to 100% of the primary damage, down from 120%.

  • Sentinel Strike (Q)
    • Fixed a bug where this ability would sometimes fail to reset Voluc’s basic attack cooldown.
    • Fixed a bug where this ability would sometimes cause an overlay animation error where he would display an improper animation during the basic attack.

Zalgus

  • Burden of Knowledge (W)
    • Fixed a bug where this ability’s slow proc from basic attacks was slowing less than intended at ranks 2-5.

  • A melee Shaper’s creep score in the Scoreboard will be incremented by one for every two stacks of melee Gladiator passive that they consume.

  • The maximum Power granted by the Unique Passive: Last Stand has been reduced to 40, down from 50.

Vengeance

  • The Health on this item has been increased to 350, up from 300.

Wisdom

  • The percentage Power increase granted by this item’s Unique Passive: Enlightenment has been increased by 20%, up from 15%.

Spells
Bastion

  • The Shield value of this spell has been adjusted to 80-460 based on level, up from 95-380.

Deflect

  • The Shield value of this spell has been increased to 60-250 based on level, up from 59-180.

Drain

  • This spell now applies the Mortal Strike debuff instead of applying a separate debuff with the same effect. This change will result in Drain refreshing the Mortal Strike effect rather than stacking with it.

Front-End Client

  • Shaper Select has received a new art treatment to be more in line with the updated art style.

  • The Mortal Strike debuff now has a custom icon.
  • The Year Zero and Logitech G icons are being distributed with this patch!

The Collection

  • The Shaper details pages have been updated to now display more information about a Shaper’s attributes and abilities.
  • The Shaper details pages will now include an audio lore monologue for every Shaper.
  • Added the “Related Collections” panel for all content detail pages.

  • Fixed a bug that would corrupt the text in The Collection searches.
  • Raina’s shield will no longer appear distorted when using the House Kethelle skin.
  • Fixed a bug causing the clickable area of the Send Chat button to be larger than intended.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing the text to pop out of the frame when resizing the client while viewing an announcer pack’s entry in the collection.
  • Fixed a filtering issue for the Viridian announcer pack.

  • The Stackable Passive: Void has been redesigned.
    • Stackable Passive – Void: Attempts to reduce any magical damage taken by 10%. The amount of magical damage reduced cannot exceed 10 damage. When stacked, the reduction for every Void beyond the first is only 50% as effective as the previous stack.

Drain

  • The damage of this spell has been reduced to 90-495 (based on level), down from 100-550.

Exceed

  • The flat Power bonus granted by this Spell has been increased to 30, up from 25.
  • The percentage Power bonus granted by this Spell has been increased to 30%, up from 20%.

Wither

  • The damage reduction component of this Spell on the affected target has been increased to 30%, up from 25%.

      • Multi-Cast: Kindra dashes to target enemy shaper, dealing 95/160/225 (+0.5) magical damage to nearby enemies upon arriving. After dashing, Kindra wraps herself in shadows, reducing all incoming damage by 10% for 2 seconds for each shaper hit. Nox Aeterna may be cast again within 5 seconds of the previous cast, up to a total of 3 times.

    • The casting range of this ability has been reduced to 600, down from 650.

Nissa

  • This effect now reduces incoming shielding by 50% – the same percentage as healing.

  • Bindings will now wait to fire at a target until they have been inside the binding’s attack range for at least 0.25 seconds (bindings will still acquire targets instantaneously).

Brawler

  • Bonus Armor and Magic Resist for each nearby enemy Shaper has been reduced to 3-6, down from 3-7.

Hoplite

  • Bonus Power has been reduced to 10% of Armor, down from 12%.

Rogue

  • Recharge time on the passive has been reduced to 0 seconds, down from 5.
  • Base damage on the passive has been reduced to 12 -75, down from 30-100.
  • Power ratio on the passive has been reduced to 0.1, down from 0.15.
  • The passive no longer triggers from Fate’s projectile damage.

Client

  • Fixed an issue resulting in a severe crash for some players.

Custom Games

  • Removed skill level as a setting.
  • Players may now use a password to protect their custom games.

Friends/Recently Played List

  • Improvements have been made to better reflect the online/offline status of players.

Matchmaking

  • Adjusted the rating boost that gets applied for players group queued with other players to be more accurate.
  • Decreased likelihood of new players being matched with veteran players.
  • Adjusted matchmaking to find more accurate matches for queue times of under 10 minutes.

Shaper Select

  • Shaper selection will now by default select the most recently used skin for the shaper you have selected.
  • Shaper selection will now by default select the announcer pack that was selected in your previous game.
  • Shaper selection will now by default select the ward skin that was selected in your previous match.

Jungle

  • Jungle creatures will now attack targets that deal damage to them regardless of line of sight or distance.
  • If a Jungle Creature reaches the edge of its tether range it will now Evade, becoming untargetable until it has returned to the center of its camp, at which point it will begin to rapidly regenerate its health.

Camera

  • Players may now toggle a Custom Locked Camera mode using the “I” key by default, or the Custom Soft Locked Camera mode using the “O” key by default. These modes allow players to set their own Locked Camera. Simply move wherever you want the camera to be locked and press either the Custom Locked Camera keybinding or the Custom Soft Locked Camera keybinding.
  • The camera mode “Follow Player” is now known as “Toggle Soft-Lock Camera.”

Matchmaking

  • We have compressed Matchmaking Ratings in order to improve matchmaking times. Rankings themselves should not be affected by this change.

  • Melee Shapers using the Gladiator role will store 50% of the total Vim a nearby minion is worth if they fail to kill it. On the next minion kill you will gain any stored bonus Vim you have accrued this way. This can be stored up to a maximum of 3 times.

Hunter

  • The healing gained from killing a jungle creature has been reduced to 2.5% of its maximum Health, down from 5%.

Predator

  • The Shaper kill Vim bonus has been increased to 150%, up from 135%.
  • The Shaper assist Vim bonus has been increased to 200%, up from 180%.

Tactician

  • The proximity Vim bonus has been increased to 200%, up from 150%.
  • The bonus Vim for harassing enemy Shapers is now 20 and 40 Vim (melee and ranged, respectively) up from 15 and 30.

  • Adjusted tuning for player idle decay.

Parasite

  • Killing the Parasite will now Spawn striders whose strength is relative to the evolution of the Parasite.
  • When the Parasite is slain a global vision and kill callout will now trigger for both teams.

Spirit Wells

  • The Spirit Wells will now unlock at 15 minutes, up from 10 minutes.
  • The amount of Vim that Spirit Well workers gather has been increased to 1.5 Vim per worker, up from 1.

Bindings

  • Bindings have had their ranges increased by 13.2%.
  • Bindings will no longer Respawn, nor provide teams with Striders.

User Interface

  • The Health bar of the player’s Shaper will now be displayed as yellow as a contrast to the other player’s Health bars.
  • Shapers that become untargetable for a short amount of time will now have their Health bars faded by 50% rather than disappearing from the screen entirely, allowing you to more easily track the position of these Shapers.

Marah

  • Marah was added into the game.

Spells
Drain

  • Saps lifeforce from a targeted enemy Shaper for 5 seconds, dealing 100-550 magical damage over the duration and healing you for 90% of the damage dealt. In addition, all healing effects on the target are reduced by 50% for the duration of the spell.

Waypoints

  • Waypoints have now been introduced into Dawngate. Waypoints will act as a paid currency within Dawngate.
  • For the first phase of the Waypoints testing period, varying grants will be awarded to all existing accounts at random. The amount of Waypoints that a player may receive are:
    • 900 Waypoints
    • 1350 Waypoints
    • 1800 Waypoints
    • 2250 Waypoints
  • At this phase Waypoints will not be purchasable. Every subsequent Tuesday at 12:01 AM PST, players will be awarded an additional 450 Waypoints. If you are logged in at this time, your grant will not take place until you re-log. This will continue until the next phase of testing begins.
  • Accounts made after the initial Waypoints grant will be awarded their random grant the same day at Midnight.

  • You may purchase Ward Skins by visiting the “Wards” tab located in the Front-End Client just under the “Play” button. This will display all Ward Skins available for purchase. Clicking the Waypoints button below the desired Ward Skin will take you through the purchasing process.
  • You will select both your Ward Skin and Shaper Skin during Shaper select after selecting your Shaper, Loadout and Role.

3D Shaper Gallery/Shaper Select

  • A 3D Shaper Viewer has been added to the Shaper Gallery and during Shaper Select. This will allow players to view a full 3D model of each Shaper and Skin in both of these places within the Front-End Client.
  • The Shaper Gallery is still accessed by clicking the Shapers tab in the Front-End Client under the “Play” button. Upon selecting a Shaper, a full 3D image will be shown of the Shaper. Selecting different Skins for that Shaper will also show a full 3D image of that particular Skin.
  • The same functionality has been added during Shaper Select before entering a game of Dawngate.

Dodge Penalties

  • There will now be a Dodge Penalty that affects players who purposefully close their client at any point during Shaper Select. If a player chooses to leave during Shaper Select of a matchmade game they will incur a Dodge Penalty that will disallow them from entering the queue for a set amount of time. The penalties are:
    • 10 Minutes for the first dodge.
    • 30 minutes for the second dodge.
    • 1 hour for the third dodge.
  • These punishments will not be reset until the player plays one entire matchmade game.
  • Players who go AFK during a match will attempt to be booted after 5 minutes of inactivity. Failing to respond to the inactivity detector will cause the player to be booted from the match, forfeiting their Blessings.

Leaderboards

  • The Leaderboard feature is now accessible through the front-end client by clicking the “Leaderboards” button just under the large “Play” button.
  • The Leaderboards will show the top 200 players within the Dawngate. You may also sort the leaderboards by a variety of conditions: Rank, Name, Most Played Shaper (click the “Name” tab 3 times), Games Played and Win Ratio. You may also use the Search bar to quickly search the Leaderboards.
  • While we’re excited to roll out Leaderboards, this is merely the first step for ranked content coming to The Dawngate. We appreciate any and all feedback regarding the system.

Loadouts

  • The Loadout system is a brand new system that will allow players to further customize their Shaper’s stats and passive abilities when going into a game of Dawngate. The system may be accessed through hitting the “Loadouts” button just below the “Play” button in the front-end client.

Karma Voting

  • The Karma Voting System will allow players to give Karma to players who are deserving of good rewards. This system will tie directly in to the Blessings system and will have a direct impact on what Blessing a particular player receives. The Karma voting system will never be able to negatively impact a player’s Blessing due to the fact that there is no way to give a player a negative Karma vote. A player may simply choose to give the Karma bonus, or not.
  • To award a worthy player of Karma, you must select the green Karma icon next to the player you wish to give Karma to in the Karma voting section of the end-game process. Players will have 20 seconds to choose any number of players that they would like to give a Karma Boost to before being taken to the next step of the Blessings system.

Blessings

  • The Blessings system is a brand new experience within Dawngate. The Blessings system will allow players to earn many different pieces of content through exceptional play, good behavior and a little bit of luck!
  • There are multiple tiers of Blessings that a player may receive – Common, Grand, Astral, Exalted and Divine.
  • Blessings may offer a variety of rewards to a player. Rewards may include: Sparks, Spiritstones, and Shapers and will always include some amount of Destiny depending on tier of Blessing and elapsed game time.

Reporting
Players now have the ability to report individuals from either the post-game lobby or social panel.

  • How to report a player:
    • Right click the player’s name you wish to report in either the post-game lobby or social panel. Select the appropriate offense that the player has committed, then hit "Ok"
  • Players may be reported for the following reasons:
    • Griefing - Example: Player X was not able to play their desired Shaper and decided to run into the enemy Binding repeatedly.
    • Harassment - Example: Player X used vulgar or offensive language and/or regularly insulted teammates.
    • Inappropriate Name - Example: A player’s name is inappropriate or contains offensive language.
    • Intentionally Leaving / AFK - Example: Player X died twice in lane early, typed "GG" and refused to help his team for the remainder of the match by sitting idle at the Locus.
    • Inaccurate Matchmaking - Example: Player X’;s relative level of skill was perceived to be much higher or much lower rated than the rest of the players in the game, such that the skill difference surprised you enough to warrant this report.

Auto Re-queue
Players will now be automatically placed back in queue if a match fails to start due to an inactive or declining player. If someone from your group fails to accept the AFK Detection, your entire group will be automatically placed back into the matchmaking lobby. Improved Matchmaking
Matchmaking Rating Adjustments

  • As part of a large host of matchmaking improvements, each player’s matchmaking rating has been compressed towards a median value. While this doesn’t affect a player’s rating relative to another player, all values have been shifted relative to a median value.
    • Number of Games Played
      • Veteran players with a large number of games played are much less likely to encounter players with very few games played and vice versa.
    • Premades
      • Matchmaking will attempt to find opponents with the same group size, especially for full premades of 5 players. It will now be less likely for solo players to be matched against a premade group.
    • Long Queue Times
      • Players who have been in queue for extended periods of time are more likely to find a game. This should leave far fewer players stranded due to having too high or too low match making rating.

    • The Power ratio per hit on this ability has been reduced to 0.35, down from 0.4 (combined ratio now 1.05, down from 1.2)
    • The Flourished root duration on this ability has been increased to 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2, up from 0.75/1/1.25/1.5/1.75
    • This ability now briefly reveals the target hit which now prevents a rare case where the tentacles collide with a target on the edge of the bush, slowing them but being unable to deal damage to them.
    • Fixed a bug that was causing this ability to go significantly further than max range when fired over certain walls.
  • Endless Delights (E)
    • The base damage per egg on this ability has been reduced to 65/100/135/170/205, down from 65/105/145/185/225.
    • The Power ratio per egg on this ability has been reduced to 0.7, down from .75.
    • Damage taken per egg for subsequent eggs hit past the first has been reduced to 25% damage, down from 35%.

    • Fixed a bug where this ability could become interrupted if he was silenced immediately after casting this ability, even after the projectile was in flight.

    • This passive ability now grants bonus Attack Speed instead of Haste. The amount of Attack Speed gained is the same as if it still gave Haste, but now will no longer grant CDR and Move Speed now that it no longer gives Haste.
  • Landfall (R)
    • The width of this ability has been decreased to 75, down from 115.

Raina

  • Repelling Strike (Q)
    • Raina can no longer use this ability while rooted.
    • Raina will now correctly attempt to auto attack her target directly after using this ability.

Destiny

This change results in the penalty cap for death streaks now cap at being worth 22 Vim upon death after having died 8 times in a row, up from capping at 138 Vim after 4 deaths.

Matchmaking
When pressing the “Play” button in the front-end client, players will be presented with 3 options:

  • Solo – Allows a single player to be matched with other players of a similar skill level to enjoy a game of Dawngate
  • Group – Allows multiple people to queue up together and find a game against similarly skilled opponents. This supports 2 to 5 man pre-made groups
  • Custom – You may create or join a custom game through a lobby system.

Shaper Gallery

  • In the front-end client players may now view the abilities and lores of each Shaper in the brand new Shaper Gallery. Shapers are rated in this gallery based on their proficiencies in various areas (pushing, disabling, etc.) This gallery may be accessed by clicking the “Shapers” tab in the front-end client.

Dispel

  • This new spell instantly remove all debuffs and disables (except suppression) from your shaper, and then reduce the duration of incoming disables for a short period afterward. If Dispel successfully removes a debuff or disable, you gain a brief but powerful Movement Speed increase.

    • Bonus Health Power ratio has been reduced to 1.15, down from 1.5. Power drained from nearby shapers during the duration of Prismatic Vortex reduced to 10/15/20 per shaper, down from 10/20/30 per shaper. The Power drained from non-shapers during the duration of Prismatic Vortex has been changed to 3/4/5, adjusted from 2/4/6. Fixed a bug where Zeri would turn in a random direction if she cast Prismatic Vortex on herself.

Predator

  • Predators will now earn a total of 200% of the normal Vim gained from killing or being in the vicinity of a dying Spirit Well worker.

Tactician

  • Now shows the Shaper harassment bonus cooldown as a buff on the buff bar. This will inform players when they will be able to receive their bonus Vim from harassing an enemy shaper, and when the effect is still on cooldown.

Bindings

  • The global Vim reward for destroying a binding has been reduced to 150 Vim per player, down from 250.

Jungle

  • The distance at which a jungle creature death grants experience to a player has been reduced to 450, down from 1200.

Spirit Wells

  • Spirit Wells have undergone a massive visual overhaul.

The Parasite

  • The Parasite’s scaling health has been increased at all evolutions.
  • Basic Attack damage has been increased at all evolutions.
  • Orb Launcher spell now applies 5 stacks of Greater Spirit Fire, down from 6.

  • This item can now be built from Might.

Insight

  • The Netherbind passive from Insight has been moved to the new item: Duress. In the place of Netherbind is a new passive: Puncture.
  • Puncture – Puncture causes every third attack to deal bonus true damage, scaling off of a power ratio.
  • The amount of Haste granted by Insight has been increased to 65, up from 55.

Ruin

  • Updated the visual effect on this item.

Strife

Exceed

  • The flat power bonus of this Spell has been reduced to 25, down from 30.

Audio

  • Slightly reduced baseline game volume to allow for a more dynamic range of volume throughout the duration of the game.
  • Adjusted in game attenuation curse to make audio events of High Importance (Ultimates, Banter) audible from further away from the source.

Chat

  • The Post Game Lobby will now inform the Lobby when a player leaves the room via a message prompt.

Controls & Keybindings

  • Space Bar and F1 now share the same functionality. When pressing either Space Bar or F1 the camera will be centered on the player’s Shaper. As long as the Space Bar or F1 keys are held down, the Camera will stay centered. Upon releasing the Space Bar or F1 key the camera will return to a free move state.
  • Players are now able to queue move commands while under the effect of a disable or while casting an ability. This allows movements to seamlessly resume after the spellcast or disable has worn off.

Health Bars

  • Health bars throughout the game have undergone a significant visual upgrade. The health bars are now larger and display “ticks” of health. The smaller “ticks” start as a value of 100 health. The bolder “Ticks” always denote values of 1,000 health. As shapers gain larger amounts of health, the micro “ticks” begin representing larger values (up to 200 health per “tick”) to maximize readability.

Help Section

  • New Player content has been moved to the official Help Section in the front-end client. This content may be accessed by clicking the “?” next to the “Play” button.

Item Shop

  • Fixed a bug where, under some conditions, it was possible to trigger the “purchase sound” without a transaction taking place.

Minimap

  • Added an option to swap the Minimap and the Shaper display in the UI to the opposite sides.

Surrender

  • The Vim differential required for the Surrender option to become available has been increased to 20,000, up from 15,000.

Surrender Players may now call for a surrender vote under the following conditions:

  • Once the game has reached the 20 minute mark.
  • When one player has been disconnected for 5 or more minutes in total.
  • A 20 kill lead has been achieved by one team.
  • A 15,000 Vim lead has been achieved by one team.
  • Players can vote to surrender by using the following commands: /forfeit, /surrender, /ff
  • In order for the surrender vote to succeed there has to be an approval of more than 66% in favor of the surrender.

Audio/Voice-over

  • Unique emotes added for all shapers. Commands include: /care, /push, /charge, /comp, /compliment, /flirt, /joke, /laugh, /no, /sorry, /taunt, /thankyou, /thank, /ty, /yes.
  • New music representing Victory or Defeat will now play upon game’s end.

Key Bindings

  • Middle mouse button, mouse button 4 and mouse button 5 are all now bindable.
  • Players may now change the bindings of “Show Previous Chat” (Default Z) and “Chat to Game” (Default Shift+Enter).

Item Shop

  • Right Clicking or Double Clicking a Recommended Item will now attempt to purchase that item.
  • Items will now become highlighted when clicked directly in the shop.
  • The Recommended Items dropdown menu will no longer display empty entries.

Reconnect

  • Players are no longer able to join/create other games while their current game is still in progress.

Death Recap

  • When a player dies, they will now be able to pull up a death recap that will present them with a chart detailing the types of damage that contributed to their death.

Gameplay

  • When creating a game the creator must now select a skill level (Novice, Intermediate, Veteran or Pro) that will be displayed to all players when searching for a game. This will allow players to find a game appropriate to their skill level.
  • Adjusted messaging players would receive when attempting to use the Item Shop or Spell Book retraining when out of range of the Locus.
  • Fixed an issue where the purchase text would flicker when attempting to purchase an item when out of range of the Locus.
  • Fixed an issue where Shapers improperly able to Blink while rooted.
  • Fixed an issue where some visual effects would persist through the Fog of War.
  • Fixed a bug where the Binding respawn effects and animations were becoming stuck if the Binding was destroyed as it respawned.
  • Fixed a bug that was causing some player’s “Ultimate Ready” icon was being displayed when a player had not learned their ultimate ability yet.
  • Fixed an issue where scrolling the minimap with your mouse would, on occasion, cause the minimap to no longer properly function.

    • Fixed a bug where Curse of Weakness was not receiving increased base damage at higher ranks.
  • Devour (E)
    • Haste bonus adjusted to 9/13/17/21/25 from 8/13/18/23/28. Additionally, the haste bonus now only stacks 4 times, down from 5. This results in the maximum haste received from the ability to be adjusted to 36/52/68/84/100, down from 40/65/90/115/140.

Bindings

  • Damage to minions has been slightly reduced.
  • Tier 1 bindings now have a 12 minute respawn time, up from 10 minutes.
  • Tier 2 bindings now have an 8 minute respawn time, up from 7 minutes.

Jungle

  • All jungle minions begin growing stronger at 6 minutes into the game
  • Total experience gained from the Mushroom section of the jungle has been reduced by 18%.
  • Experience has been shifted such that Buff Camps now offer significantly more experience than other camps.

The Parasite

  • Lesser Spirit Fire: This debuff has been redesigned so that it now deals additional flat magic damage per stack on every basic attack that The Parasite uses.
  • Basic attack damage has been greatly reduced.
  • Total health now scales more smoothly into late game.
  • Overall damage reduced at all evolutions.

Gladiator

  • Bonus vim per stack acquired from consecutive last hits reduced to 2, down from 3.

Hunter

  • Choosing the Hunter Role will now also grant a 25% chance to gain 20 bonus vim when killing a jungle creature. This is in addition to the already existing bonuses provided by the Role.

Predator

  • Amount of experience gained for shaper kills and assists has been increased to 130%, up from 125%.

Items
Fate

  • The Collateral Damage passive has been redesigned. The damage caused by the projectiles is now 50% of the damage dealt by the initial attack instead of a flat value equal to 60% of your attack damage. Additionally, the projectiles will now proc other item effects and on-hit effects.

Flasks of Moxie/Foresight/Prowess

  • All flasks will now correctly retain their visual effects upon reviving.

Insight

  • The Haste granted by this item has been reduced to 55, down from 70. Additionally, the root duration has been reduced to 0.5 seconds, down from 0.75 and the total cost of the item reduced to 2715, down from 2900.

Life/Vigor/Rampancy - Consume

  • The passive ability has had its chance to activate increased to 33/66/100%, up from 25/50/100%. Additionally, the amount of health restored by this passive ability has been reduced to 5/10/15, down from 8/15/25.

Tailwind

  • Increased the area of effect of this spell to 625, up from 456

Vanquish

  • Shapers will now move into range when attempting to cast on an out-of-range enemy.
