Desecrator is a melee tank who dominates the field with an array of crowd control and area denial abilities. Desecrator excels in almost any early game role, easily setting up kills for himself or his allies. Desecrator’s greatest strength is predicting his enemies; knowing exactly how his enemies could escape will inform how Desecrator should lead his attacks and ensure a kill. Remember that although Desecrator often is leading the charge, his abilities can also be used to save his punier allies from assassins and bruisers.

The cold and clinical entity known as the Desecrator wields the Vitality of Decay as a surgeon wields a scalpel. Little is known of him, save that he nurses a frightful vendetta against the merchant princes of the west, and Mikella’s family in particular.


I suppose one could dig into my past - pardon the crude pun. But what would you find? The truth? No. Merely the petty calumnies of lesser intellects. The jealous mutterings of men who would have gladly followed the path I forged, had they the talent to replicate my results. You know the axiom that history is written by the victors? If I were the victor of my own tale, would I be magically bound within a sepulcher?

At any rate, such details are unimportant. The dry facts of a man's past are black points on a white sheet. You cannot assemble a color portrait from them.

I will inform you of the items that are truly important to understand the man... or the former man, if you prefer.

I am an artist. I am an explorer. I seek to improve the natural beauties I discover. I refuse to restrict my palette to the drab, unimaginative colors used by other men. And my canvas is the mortal form.

The corpus, the body. It is a miracle to be sure. So many moving parts. Such breathtaking symmetries and elegant coincidences of design. But so many inefficiencies as well! So many systems left on the tantalizing precipice of genius. So many details waiting to be improved by a man of vision with a skilled hand. And, yes, improved by a bit of stitching and a touch of Vitality Shaping.

Mine is not a calling for one unduly burdened with a surfeit of morality. It demands an intellect capable of cool, unbiased, unsympathetic assessment and experimentation.

Passive Ability

Desecrator may cast his abilities freely.

Desecrator's Basic attacks stupefy his primary target.

  • Shapers: deals 15 to 72 (based on level (+0.5) magical damage and silences them for 0.75 seconds.
  • Non-Shapers: deals 30 to 114 (based on level) (+1) bonus magical damage.

This ability cannot affect the same target more than once every 5 seconds.

Forgotten Tombs

Desecrator calls forth a massive tombstone in front of him, dealing 90/140/190/240/290 (+80% Power) magical damage. An additional 6 tombstones spring forth in a line, each dealing 55/95/135/175/215 (+40% Power) magical damage. Enemies hit by tombstones are launched airborne for 0.75 seconds.

Desecrator projects a wave of dread, reducing the Movement Speed and Attack Speed of nearby enemies by 15/20/25/30/35% for 2 seconds.

Long Range (760 m) Medium Area

Desecrator awakens the dead in an area after a brief delay, dealing 75/115/155/195/235 (+70% Power) magical damage to each enemy in the area and rooting them for 1 second. The dead persist for 3 seconds, reducing the Movement Speed of enemies in the area by 30%.

Extreme Range (1700 m) Medium Area

Multi-cast: Desecrator launches a corpse that releases deadly miasma where it lands. Enemies in the cloud take magical damage equal to 3/5/7% (+1.6% Power) of their maximum Health each second (maximum 125/200/275 damage against minions and creatures).

Desecrator may cast Deathfog up to 3 times within 14 seconds and each cloud lasts for 8 seconds. Damage from multiple clouds doesn't stack.

Cooldown: 120/110/100 seconds
